Principal's Message

Thank you to every member of our community for making Oakview Community the BEST elementary school in the district!  I am incredibly proud to serve as your principal.  I feel extremely fortunate to be part of your elementary experience and have the opportunity to watch you grow as a learner and develop into a well-rounded young adult ready to make a positive different in the world!

The start of your elementary experience begins with the introduction of our cougar paw and four core character traits – Responsible, Respectful, Friendly and Safe.  Throughout your elementary journey, you are given opportunities to participate in school events and activities to model these important traits.  We do this through shared experiences such as the Jog-a-Thon, Oaktoberfest, Santa’s Breakfast, Open House/Silent Auction, Raise Craze/Kindness Challenge, Member’s Only, Field Day, weekly TK-1 Star of the Week assemblies, 2-5 monthly assemblies, 3-5 Friday Clubs, field trips, Student Council and much, much more!  I appreciate our team and community’s collaborative efforts in helping students become the best version of themselves.  

Remember to continue to engage in random acts of kindness each day.  Continue to find new ways to fill the buckets of those who need you to be the ray of sunshine in their day.  “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours” – Dolly Parton.  Finding beauty in each day promotes a positive mindset.
